Our Board of Trustees

The Board of the Counseling Center is made up of members who all have unique credentials that make them a vital part of the work we do.

Adam Booth currently serves as the Director of the Columbiana County Board of Elections.  Adam is a native of Columbiana County and graduated from the Crestview Local School system.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Youngstown State University and his Master’s Degree of Applied Politics from the University of Akron.  Adam has worked in several political capacities across the state of Ohio before ultimately being appointed to his current position with the County Elections Board.  Adam also serves as Vice Chairman of the Columbiana County Republican Party and is a member of the New Waterford Lions Club.  Adam served as a Governing Board Member of the Columbiana County Educational Service Center from 2008-2011.  In 2010 Adam married his wife Ashley (Souder) of Columbiana and they currently reside in New Waterford.
Angel Brock-Murphy is currently Academic Dean of Ohio Valley College of Technology in East Liverpool. Her skills/interests are as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist Board as well as having experience in management, fundraising, public relations, and training. She lives in the Toronto/Wellsville area with her husband and son. Of interest is that she has earned a black-belt (1st dan), Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do. Other Boards/Civic Associations include the Columbiana County Humane Society, American Counseling Association; National Academic Advising Association; and Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. Other hobbies/interests include reading mystery novels, book club, and various women’s groups.
Mr. Linsley is the Funeral Director for Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home in East Palestine, and the Cemetery Operator for Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.  He is a member and current Treasurer of the East Palestine Rotary; a member of East Palestine Chamber of Commerce and the East Palestine Alumni Association. His hobbies and interests include Golf, Camping and travel. His three children have received college educations from Ohio State, the U.S. Naval Academy, and Mount Union University.

Member of Counseling Center Board of Trustees since 2005; currently serves as Vice President. Is a partner with law firm of Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd. in Salem, Ohio; is Chairwoman of the firms’ Associate Development Committee. Received Athena Leadership Award from the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber and the Vindicator in May, 2010; the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley’s 40 Under 40 Shining Star MVP Award in 2009; and the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s 2011 Community Service Award for Lawyers 40 and Under for District 13 and Statewide; and is a United High School Wall of Fame Inductee, 2011. Is a member of the Board of the Charitable Foundation of Salem Regional Medical Center having served as its initial chairperson; a past Board member for 9 years and a Treasurer for the Board of the Salem Regional Medical Center; a member of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Legislative Affairs Committee; a member of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Chamber Ambassadors; a member of the Board for the Sustainable Opportunity Development Center (“SOD Center”) and currently serves as its Secretary/Treasurer; and Board Member and Past President for Salem Kiwanis.


Sara Mainwaring is currently retired from Salem City Schools as a Special Education Supervisor. She has worked in a leadership role in the public schools, as well as collaboratively with various agencies. She enjoys reading, gardening, the Salem Community Center and attending theatre productions. Was a Special Education Supervisor with Salem City Schools for 12 years, and a consultant with the Columbiana County Educational Services Center prior to that. Since retirement in 2013, she has enjoyed more time with family. Sara and her husband have two children; Susan works in Washington DC and David is currently in Salem. Both are graduates of the Ohio State University.

Mr. McCormick is a small business owner of Purple Goat Publishing, electronic publishing. He is skilled in creative problem solving, bibliotherapy, has familiarity with recovery/wellness and is a certified peer supporter. He is a former college instructor, certified teacher, land surveyor, bookstore clerk, house painter, and entrepreneur. He is a member of the Guild of American Luthiers and a life member of American MENSA. Mr. McCormick is author of The Ephemeral Mind of a Climber, a socio-biographical fictional work on co-dependence and freedom from addictions and the climbing subculture. He enjoys composing and performing music, art, and creative writing. He teaches Yoga for adults, and enjoys reading several languages including Dutch, Spanish, French and German, and has translated Russian in the field of mathematics.
Mrs. Paul Metrovich is currently retired as Middle School Principal of the Beaver Local School District. He is a member of St. Clair Township Tourism Board; the Calcutta Lions Club; and the Columbiana County School Employees Credit Union. He is active in all levels of the Lions Work - local, district and state. Mr. Metrovich is known for his willingness to serve the community.
Mrs. Moore is currently the treasurer for Moore M/R Specialty in Salem Ohio.  She was a previous 10-year member of the ACLD Board in Youngstown.  She currently serves on the Apple Grove Homes Board; the Mental Health Clinic Board; Vestry Church of Our Saviour; and the Salem Community Theater Board.
Mr. Moore is owner of D.T. Moore and Company, LCC. He is a member of Rotary Club of Salem, Ohio; Board member of Meals on Wheels; member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and is Treasurer of Salem High School Alumni Association. He specializes in tax planning and consulting as well as small business consulting. He is an avid traveler, ‘foodie’, and is an ambitious chef. Mr. Moore is a past member appointed to the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council and served as Wage and Investment subcommittee chair. He educates other tax professionals on tax law changes every fall for a national tax education provider. He holds a BBA in Accounting from Kent State University and a Masters in Public Administration from Gannon University.
Mr. Pusateri is the owner and president of Mike Pusateri Excavating Inc. and Pipelines, Inc.  Mike's skills include employee management and construction knowledge. He is a member of the Porsche Club of America and is a Board member of Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corp. He enjoys car racing, gardening, skiing, traveling and spending time with family. Mike and his wife of 39 years have three children and six grandchildren.

Paul Taylor currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Taylor received a Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University in 1952 and a Master’s Degree in Education in 1964.  Additional graduate work was done at
West Virginia University, Kent State University and Akron University.  He is a member of Phi Mu Delta, Epsilon Pi Tau and Phi Delta Kappa fraternities and The Ohio State University Alumni Association.  In addition to his serving as superintendent of the Beaver Local School District from August 1982 through December of 1985, his professional experiences include industrial arts teacher and guidance counselor of Wintersville High School, principal of Buchanan Junior High School, superintendent of the Strasburg-Franklin Local School District, acting superintendent of the Buckeye Joint Vocational School.  He was also associate executive director of the Buckeye Association of School Administration, where his chief responsibility was lobbying the Ohio General Assembly and the U.S. Congress.  He is a past member of the Eastern District of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and a member of the Buckeye Association of School Administrators.  He is listed in Who’s Who in the Midwest and Who’s Who in American Education.  His family includes his wife, Phyllis at home, and three daughters, a son and three grandsons.


Susan D. Wenderoth, Retired Transition Coordinator from Columbiana County Educational Service Center in Lisbon, currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees. She has extensive experience with students who have disabilities and their families, having taught students with disabilities for 27 years and worked with families with disabilities for 27 years, worked with families to help transition from school to work, helps students access adult services, and has collaborated with The Counseling Center to serve families in stress and/or individuals with dual diagnoses. She and her husband have hosted five exchange students over the years. Their two adult sons each spent a one-year exchange in Brazil through the Rotary Youth Exchange. Mrs. Wenderoth enjoys reading, bicycling, walking, piano and life-long learning.
